LYNELL & KENDALL GO TO THE GYM 100 TIMES

Kendall and Lynell, at the gym! 


Today is Tuesday, August 22nd and we're starting our 4 month gym challenge!

We have a gym literally around the corner from our house. Just a block away.
However, we still manage to have a lot of obstacles that keep us away...
Here is what we have (normally) going on, not counting any random craziness that pops up:

Kendall:
  • full-time college student (and always takes more than a full load of classes)
  • university honors scholar program (extra meetings and classes)
  • 2 hour commute to/from campus 4-5 times a week
  • works part-time on campus
  • works part-time at an internship 45 minutes away from our house
  • leaves the house as early as 6am
  • often doesn't get home until 7pm, sometimes later
  • weak ankles that are often sprained
  • hates exercising

Lynell:
  • stay at home mom to 4 kids (ages 1, 6, 8, 17)
  • homeschool teach for a 2nd grader and a 3rd grader
  • husband leaves for work very early AM (before the gym opens)
  • a variety of health problems that often make exercising impossible and/or feel impossible
  • hates exercising


One thing that really motivates us is competition and challenges!
We are challenging ourselves to go to the gym 100 TIMES between now and New Years Eve 2017. We must go together for it to "count".

We have 130 days until New Years Eve. Since we choose not to go to the gym on Sundays, that gives us 18 less days (112 days) available to go. Kendall also has very late nights on some days, so we will have to be careful not to miss any days that we CAN go, or we may end up doubling up on days going to the gym at the end of the year! (yikes)

We went to the gym today, so we've got 99 left to go!
